Ron Lachey is a Partner with The Lachey Company. Ron earned his undergraduate degree in Finance at The Ohio State University and his Juris Doctorate and L.L.M in Taxation from Capital University. He began his career in taxation with the City of Columbus City Attorney’s office where he assisted in local income tax litigation. Ron joined the Ohio Department of Taxation and served as an Attorney in the Legal Division as well as a Legislative Liaison where he was afforded the opportunity to become well-versed in the various state level taxes.
Ron’s career in the private sector began with Ernst & Young LLP in their State and Local Tax Department and he worked on corporate income tax planning on the state and local level as well as assisting companies in securing tax credits and incentives within Ernst & Young’s Tax Incentive Practice on both a local and national level where his clients had operations. He was asked by Ernst & Young to join the Federal Tax Group where he was appointed as Tax Services Coordinator for various clients in the Columbus area.
Ron then began an entrepreneurial career that led him to be the founder of The Lachey Company where he has worked with many entrepreneurial clients from those that just had an idea to those that have established markets and revenue. He has worked with many companies that are pursuing funding and in a high growth mode.
