Creating Impact. Building Dreams.

TechGrowth Ohio is a $67 million public-private partnership composed of the Ohio Third Frontier program, Ohio University, and the private investment community. It is one of the regional entrepreneurial signature programs funded by the Ohio Third Frontier program to provide business expertise, services, and investments for startup companies in the 19-county Southeastern Ohio area. As one of the premier programs of the Ohio University Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, TechGROWTH Ohio is part of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that includes programs supporting university and regional technology commercialization and small business incubation.

Supporting startup technology companies generates jobs and builds the economy of Southeastern Ohio. Small businesses create the majority of new employment, and focusing on providing assistance to startups has a major economic impact. TechGROWTH Ohio has generated over $1 billion in economic activity since 2007 and created/retained 854 high-paying jobs in the region.

From a history of self-reliance comes a culture of entrepreneurialism. The regional system of entrepreneurial support built by TechGROWTH Ohio over the past few years has integrated existing programs, infused them with increased capacity, and added new layers of service and sophistication. The result is a rapidly growing entrepreneurial culture, backed by professional support services that accelerate venture development and the commercialization process.

This is evidenced by the sheer number of companies assisted by TechGROWTH Ohio. Since 2007, TechGROWTH Ohio has engaged more than 2,388 entrepreneurs, with 555 of those qualifying for intensive operational assistance and nearly 100 companies receiving financial support to speed their path toward sustainable businesses, creating wealth, jobs, and economic activity in Appalachian Ohio.

Take a look at TechGrowth’s impact on the region.
