Scott Miller is Director of Energy and Environmental Programs at the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs and the Consortium for Energy, Economics and the Environment at Ohio University where he has worked for the last twelve years. The team he oversees presently conducts stream and river assessment and restoration; air quality monitoring and modeling; GIS and Web-enabled data management; as well as energy policy and energy-related economic development. The School’s energy and environmental research team pulls together theory and applications and puts them into practice through projects that benefit the region, state and nation. The School presently employs more than 150 students in project-based learning applications. Mr. Miller works with state and federal stakeholders to shape and implement programs that elevate and enhance Ohio University’s research; serves on a number of local and statewide public and private boards that improve surface water management, energy research and policy development; and acts as a liaison between state and federal agencies and local stakeholders interested in using the university’s resources to improve the natural environment of the region.
